Developing a sustainable society in West Papua

Our main goal is to offer structural help on a long term base aimed at the stimulation of a sustainable society in Papua Barat, West Papua. The SDSP also supports all activities directly and indirectly related to this matter or which may tribute to it.

We want to achieve our goal by:

Drawing attention for the former Dutch colony of New Guinee
Interesting governments, development organizations, social organizatians, civilians and companies
Developing a concentrated financial transfer to Papua Barat
Initiating researches
Organizing business and policy conferences
Gaining publicity in the media for Papua Barat
Fund raising

Strategy and vision

We support the population of West Papua with money, advise and training to build up a sustainable society in wich health care, education, housing, agriculture and natural conservation are organized in an efficient and effective way. This with the preservation of their own identity and culture of the original inhabitants. Our working method is charaterized by:

a small investment
from the start of a project
with relevant partners
based on topical 'field knowledge'
developing and exucuting and a coherent policy
in which training and education play the most important part
and where the result of projects is determined by the cohesian of economical, ecological and social factors
