TV report of Jurgen and Ellis In the LLiNK documentary serie 'Aanpakken en Wegwezen' ('Pack and Go') Jurgen and Ellis have been followed during their stay in the interior of West Papua. The report gives a realistic impression of the day to day problems they have to tackle to improve the living conditions of the Papuan people and to lower the extremely high infant mortality rate.
In the interior of West Papua, Indonesia we accompany the Mother and Child Care project. Focus areas are the realisation of structural basic health care, giving information and the improvement of the living standards. We do this together with the local Papuan people. The interior, especially during the rain season, is inaccessible for any form of ground transport, whereas 1 out of 3 children still dies before its 5th year of life!
To evacuate sick people to a hospital a plane is the only sollution. Therefor the help of Flying Kees is of vital importance!
